Gandhi says how he perceives God. In all of the 6 minutes he appeals not to religion or spirituality but to humanity. I suspect even a majority of secular humanists will find themselves in agreement.

A humanitarian is perhaps closest to god because he practices selflessness, the ability to put another before oneself.
perhaps u r right. a humanitarian certainly moves closer to everyone, just by being a humanitarian. that a big feat in itself.
