Water and Oil do mix

To provide for water in plastic bottles to Americans for one year requires 47 million tonnes of oil, which is equivalent to taking 100,000 cars off the road. - Container Recycling Institute.

I seriously don't understand why people drink bottled water in this country, where cities have pretty high standards for the water they supply.

I actually knew an indian couple who grew up drinking chennai metro water, came to this country and would only drink bottled water! gaah!

you are right. I once watched a NBC morning segment on this. The bottled waters are only marginally better than (if better at all) than tap water.

and after drinking Chennai metro water, one cannot seriously be hurt by drinking tap water here. but some of the behavior could be just being trendy.
